et la ptite Histoire :
A l'origine, cette magnifique chanson n'aurait sans doute pas dû exister.
La Delilah dont il est question dans ce morceau est en fait une jeune athlète américaine, Delilah Di Crescenzo (qui se prépare pour les Jeux Olympiques).
Un jour, Tom, le chanteur et leader du groupe, la rencontre à Chicago et la drague... Il lui dit ensuite qu'il a écrit une chanson pour elle... Ce qui est totalement faux !
Il sera donc bien obligé de lui écrire ce texte et de composer cette chanson.
Malheureusement, pour la petite histoire, cette relation tournera court puisque Delilah était déjà accompagnée !
Le texte évoque donc une relation à distance imaginaire, lui à Chicago, elle à New-York.
Il explique que, malgré la distance, ils seront un jour réunis, qu'il paiera toutes leurs factures grâce à sa guitare... On peut dire que sur ce dernier point, il avait vu juste...
